Parking is restricted at the bottom of the track but there is room for one car if you park carefully so as to not block the access.<\/p>\n<p id=\"YDflvYh\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.m1cje.uk\/index.php\/sota-summits-on-the-air\/english-summits\/brown-clee-hill-titterstone-clee-hill-2018\/img_5a97ea488b587\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1225\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1225\" src=\"http:\/\/www.m1cje.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_5a97ea488b587.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"356\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 356px) 100vw, 356px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The route to the top is straightforward, just follow the track and enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>Once you get nearer the top you will probably notice the radio masts.\u00a0 There are some fairly high power signals transmitted that will play havoc with your front end.<\/p>\n<p>I set up my station alongside the summit marker, it\u2019s not really a trig point although the remains of the old trig point seem to have been built into the path nearby.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.m1cje.uk\/index.php\/sota-summits-on-the-air\/english-summits\/brown-clee-hill-titterstone-clee-hill-2018\/img_5079-150x150\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1226\"><img loading=\"lazy\" (max-width: 150px) 100vw, 150px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Between the QRM I soon managed to make six contacts.\u00a0 Although the day was clear and sunny there was a lot of wind chill on the top so I didn\u2019t hang around once I had worked everyone calling.<\/p>\n<p>The return back to the car is as straightforward as the ascent and I was soon on my way to the next summit.<\/p>\n<h3>G\/WB-002 sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 284px) 100vw, 284px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>G\/WB-004 Titterstone Clee Hill<\/h2>\n<p>I had decided to attempt Titterstone Clee hill from the South West which with hindsight was perhaps not the best decision I ever made.\u00a0 Although the walking is fine, the parking is not.\u00a0 I managed to find a spot in the village which whilst it was safe and legal was not an ideal spot.\u00a0 What I hadn\u2019t realised from the map was there is good parking at the viewing area to the South of the summit at\u00a0SO 593 775.\u00a0 Next time I will try from there instead.\u00a0 Yes I know it\u2019s obvious on the map now I know it\u2019s there!<\/p>\n<p id=\"naYoCnx\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.m1cje.uk\/index.php\/sota-summits-on-the-air\/english-summits\/brown-clee-hill-titterstone-clee-hill-2018\/img_5a980cabf2414-768x574\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1229\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1229\" src=\"http:\/\/www.m1cje.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/img_5a980cabf2414-768x574-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"768\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>For anyone who wants to try this route, once you have found parking there is a good track up as far as the incline.\u00a0 This is the remains of an old narrow gauge railway built as part of the extensive quarrying activities which have taken place in the area.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.m1cje.uk\/index.php\/sota-summits-on-the-air\/english-summits\/brown-clee-hill-titterstone-clee-hill-2018\/img_5088-300x169\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1230\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1230\" src=\"http:\/\/www.m1cje.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/IMG_5088-300x169-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s now just a grassy trackbed but still very obvious.
